Your first strength level is when you slowly start to curl the weight up to your shoulders this is known as the positive phase of the movement. Your second strength level is when you pause briefly and squeeze your biceps at the top of the movement. This is known as your static strength level. Your third strength level is when you lower the dumbbells slowly and is known as the negative phase of the movement.
